Ancestral Healing

As human beings, we carry subconscious influences from our ancestors through the energetic connections with them in our DNA, as well as the energetic cords that connect us to them. Of course, our most direct 'ancestors', our mother and father, exert the strongest influence. A lot of people who are into spirituality have at some point worked around that theme. We may have had to do healing around our parents, we may have held resentment towards them... The truth is, it is only a minority of people have had truly happy childhoods where everything was 100% fine. A lot is childhoods are a mix of happy and sometimes not so happy. A lot of us had to deal with parents who were dealing with their own pain and limiting patterns, and as kids that of course influenced us. Part of the healing journey, when we grow up, is to realize that our parents acted from their pain and limiting beliefs, and to find forgiveness for them.

But the influence doesn't stop with our parents. We have grandparents, grand-grandparents, etc... The energetic effect of our ancestors still influences us in many ways on subconscious levels. There are patterns, beliefs, and trauma that are held within the ancestral lines. But it is not only negative; ancestral lines also hold positive creative energies, for example, musical families where music is "in the DNA," as they say. The negative or limiting patterns, however, can still influence us in subtle and not-so-subtle ways.

Let me share my own experience from an ancestral healing I did two years ago:

In the meditation, we visualize our ancestors as standing in front of us. I visualized them like an inverted pyramid because that's also what it is in reality: every ancestor has two parents, and so on, the pyramid grows very wide very quickly. The number of our ancestors increases exponentially the further back we look. If you realize that every one of us has two parents, and each of our parents has two parents (we have 4 grandparents), the number of people grows very quickly. People with a mathematical mind will recognize this as exponential growth. The top of the pyramid is you, just one person, but as the pyramid grows, it quickly becomes huge. Of course, this cannot continue because at a certain point it would increase beyond the number of people that have ever lived on the planet. For example, a single individual alive today would, over 30 generations going back to only the upper Middle Ages, have 1 billion ancestors, more than the total world population at the time. If we went back further, it would even become bigger. This, of course, makes no sense. At a certain point, it has to "collapse". And this is exactly what it does. There is something called pedigree collapse in genealogy:  it describes how reproduction between two individuals who share an ancestor causes the number of distinct ancestors in the family tree of their offspring to be smaller than it could otherwise be.

I wasn't aware of this information on pedigree collapse when I did the meditation. I only found out about it afterwards, to see if my impression during the meditation was correct. Let me share what I felt.

I felt the pyramid remain really wide when going back into the past, up until Roman and Egyptian Times, but further, it seemed to condense into a few small streams of ancestral lines. My intuition was that this is because of the fall of Atlantis, a disaster that decimated the human population so much that there were not a lot of humans left. Only a comparatively few human lineages survived. I also felt a strong Viking presence among my ancestors, which is not surprising because I am of European descent and the Vikings spread over Europe from the 9th to the 11th century, and I guess every person of Northern European descent has some Viking DNA in them. The Vikings must have made lots of children on their conquest of Europe... The Viking energy felt quite rough and very masculine.

I also felt that hardships like famine and plundering were present in the ancestral line, especially imprinted from the 16th and 17th centuries in Europe. This creates an imprint in our DNA that still lives on through our ancestors. In this way, ancestral healing work is beneficial to consciously help lift some of that energy that can still have a hold over our consciousness.

These imprints from our ancestors, because they are so far back, are collective imprints, because most of the native population carries them. Dark forces that want to control humanity are aware of this, and use this collective trauma to render us under mind control. You could see this happening during the pandemic, people got fearful and started hoarding food (and toilet paper for some reason, I still don't get that one). Deep ancestral patterns were being triggered (and exploited by those in power). Those in power exploit past collective trauma to manipulate us with fear. So in this sense, becoming more free from collective trauma makes us freer and less susceptible to manipulation.

DNA is the physical aspect of our ancestral heritage, but there is also the consciousness aspect. Some patterns in consciousness are imprints from our ancestors, and if we clear them, we can bring our unique soul more to the fore. There is an interaction between consciousness, DNA, and our ancestors. There is a treasure trove of information contained in our DNA and our consciousness that speaks of our rich human history.

If you feel called to join me in this mediation, you can do so here.
